by Tom Roche on February 6, 2010

You eventually end up promoting a party that has a female “model type figure on it..” Wow.. Either way this is gonna crack.

Progression

by Tom Roche on February 1, 2010

I remember meeting Dylan roughly three and a half years ago in the freshmen dorms. At the time, all I really knew about him was that his style changed more often than his classes. Throughout the years, not much has changed. Not only does he swear that he should be getting “paid to be at my parties”, he refers to himself as non other than “Hot Fire” and “Can’t be touched”. He truly is one of those characters that you either love or love to hate. Fortunately for Dylan, we all love him. To his close family and friends he keeps us shaking our heads and saying to ourselves, “Really Dylan?” Fortunately though, Dylan seems to have found something that he is passionate about or at least for this particular moment.

In recent years, I have had the opportunity to work with Dylan first hand on the WHOISJONCOON? campaign as well as at many of my Otis events. If you have checked out Dylan’s site, you can tell that no matter how many times his style changes, his persona remains the same- party hard, don’t give a fuck, meet as many women as possible, smoke as many cigarettes as possible, and always tweet about how 4 redbulls are never enough. He isn’t trying to fool anyone and he doesn’t have anything to hide- except the fact that his manager would be pissed to hear he blew his paycheck once again on vintage fur… But all BS aside, the kid loves what he does and I respect that. I respect anyone that is honestly trying to make a living off of their passion.

Throughout the last couple years, Dylan has been documenting his lifestyle for our eyes to view. I am lucky to say that I was very much a part of many of the memorable events that he has captured. From drunk nights at Otis, to college girls taking classroom photos for a campaign, and everything in between, I am glad we have had him behind the lens. His photos are raw and to the point, but also showcase a sense of artistic intellect. Although we love to hate on him, you gotta love the kid. What him and Matt have put together for the upcoming show this Saturday is nothing short of impressive.

Come out and support this Saturday at Dylan’s first solo art show as the youngest artist to ever be featured at The Medicine Agency.

Thursday: BACK-2-SCHOOL at Poleng

by Tom Roche on January 29, 2010

As the photos below showcase, last night was nothing less than insane.

The student body came out super strong as we finished our first week of the college semester.18 is the new 21. Beats by Mel kept everyone raging and it was refreshing to see some new faces. Btw, how many bottles of Stoli did we go thru again? Big ups to Hardy for covering the event. His site can be found here.

On a side note, The San Francisco Examiner also covered the event- the article can be viewed here.

Proceeds were sent to The Red Cross Haiti

Thank you all for coming out and remember to Join us this Thursday at The Ambassador for my monthly “1st Thursday” event. Sorry kids, 1st Thursdays at The Ambassador is 21+… So that means you won’t be able to wear your landyards (see photo below).

Until next time,

This Thursday: 1/28/10 POLENG LOUNGE

by Tom Roche on January 27, 2010

Welcome back everyone. I know for most of you break wasn’t long enough but look on the bright side, you are back with your homies, back in the ill city of San Francisco, and the first couple weeks back are always known for some of the best parties of the year. With that being said, this Thursday we are raging one more time at Poleng Lounge. Poleng is located right next to USF, the event is 18+, and it is closing due to financial reasons. To put this in lamens terms, you have no excuse not to come out.Ontop of this, proceeds will be donated directly to the Red Cross Haiti.

To be completely honest, I have been coordinating, planning, and promoting parties in San Francisco for the last two years and I have never thrown an 18+ event. I am scared to see the turn out for this party so PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY.

On a side note I just booked by buddy Hardy to shoot the event

Doors open at 9pm.

Cheers to the new semester!
